Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are mainly composed of cylinder barrel, piston, piston rod and oil seal. Its working principle is based on Pascal's principle, i.e. when a liquid transmits pressure in a confined space, the pressure is isotropic. The unique design of telescopic hydraulic cylinder makes it possible to accomplish a larger stroke in a shorter space, mainly thanks to its multi-stage piston structure.
In the design process, the working pressure, working stroke and load capacity of the cylinder are first determined. Then, calculate the diameter and stroke of different piston segments according to the required pulling and pushing forces. Usually, the outer diameter of the cylinder needs to be reasonably selected according to the working environment and the requirements of the device to ensure strength and sealing performance. The internal friction of the hydraulic cylinder, the selection of oil seals and the lubrication method are all factors that need to be paid attention to in the design.
